Eric Oaks is Director Sales, Strategic Government Group for CenturyLink where he is responsible for leading sales and business development efforts within the company’s largest government service provider and system integrator accounts.
Prior to joining CenturyLink, Oaks held sales leadership positions within government sales at Level 3 and Global Crossing and has worked in telecommunications and networking for over 20 years. Among his distinguished accomplishments, Oaks worked with the Coalition Provisional Authority to land the FALCON cable in Al Faw, Iraq and was a member of the leadership team who secured the winning supplier bid for the original TOT-A contract, the first Trans-Atlantic 10Gs for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Oaks is a graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in history. He currently serves on the ITPA Board of Directors and is also a board member on two homeowner associations leading both local volunteer and charitable community efforts.
